Allows the agent to create a new record category in the workspace.
When to enable this tool
Use this tool when the agent needs to create a new record type in the workspace — such as a new category for cases, contracts, clients, projects, etc.
Practical examples:
- "Create a category called 'Suppliers'"
- "I need a new record type to track service orders"
- The agent creates the category as a first step before adding fields and records
After creating the category, use the Create Field tool to add fields to it.
What the agent can do
- Create a new category with name and description
- Set icon, color, and identification prefix
- The category becomes available to receive records immediately
Information the agent uses

| Description | Optional: explanatory text about what the category represents |
| Icon | Optional: visual icon for the category |
| Color | Optional: identification color |
| Prefix | Optional: abbreviation used in record codes (e.g.: "SUP") |
Important notes
- Categories cannot be deleted after creation — only deactivated
- The category name must be unique in the workspace
- Adding fields to the category is a separate step — use the Create Field tool after creating the category
