Update Task
Allows the agent to change the status, priority, assignee, or register the decision of an existing task.
When to enable this tool
Use this tool when the agent needs to modify or complete a task already created in the workspace.
Practical examples:
- "Mark task TSK302 as completed"
- "Change the task priority to urgent"
- "Reassign the task to Maria"
- "Register the task approval with the justification: 'The terms are in agreement'"
What the agent can do
- Change the task status (pending, in progress, blocked, completed)
- Change the priority
- Reassign the assignee
- Change the due date
- Register the decision of an approval task (approved or rejected)
Information the agent uses

Approval tasks
When completing an approval-type task, the agent must provide the decision:
| Decision | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Approved | The decision was "approved" |
| Rejected | The decision was "rejected" + mandatory justification |
Important notes
- Works only with standalone tasks — tasks completed by workflows cannot be modified
- When changing the collaborator list, the previous list is completely replaced
- Workspace business rules may prevent certain updates depending on configured permissions
