Allows the agent to query which fields (columns) exist in a workspace category.


When to enable this tool

Use this tool when the agent needs to understand a category's structure before creating or updating records, or when the user wants to know which information is collected in a given category.

Practical examples:

  • The user asks "what fields exist in the Contracts category?"
  • The agent needs to check a category's fields before filling in a new record
  • An audit agent verifies the workspace's complete structure

What the agent can do

  • List all fields of a category
  • View the name, type, and description of each field
  • Search fields by name or type
  • View available options in selection fields (dropdown, radio, etc.)

Important notes

  • Returns a maximum of 100 fields per query
  • Inactive fields may appear in results unless filtered
