Create Field
Allows the agent to add new fields (columns) to a workspace category.
When to enable this tool
Use this tool when you want the agent to be able to expand the structure of a category in the workspace — for example, adding a date field, a text field, or a selection list to an existing record type.
Practical examples:
- The user asks the agent to add the "Contract Number" field to the Contracts category
- The agent needs to create a selection field with statuses (Open, In Progress, Closed) before starting to register records
- A configuration agent automates the creation of the initial category structure
What the agent can do
- Add text, number, date, selection list, file upload, email, address fields, among others (24 available types)
- Define the field's name and description, help text for the user, and placeholder
- Configure selection options for fields like dropdowns or choice lists
- Associate the new field with any existing category (record type)
Information the agent uses

| Internal identifier | Unique field code within the category (no spaces or special characters) |

Important notes
- Fields cannot be deleted after creation — plan before creating
- The field type (text, number, date, etc.) cannot be changed after creation
- The field's internal identifier also cannot be changed afterward
- For selection fields (dropdown, radio, checkbox), options need an internal value in addition to the displayed text
