Fields

Fields define the properties and data format within a category. Each field has a type and can be configured with validation rules, display conditions, and automatic events.

To access a category's fields, navigate to Structure > Categories, select the desired category, and click the Fields card.

How to create a field

  1. On the category's fields screen, click Create.
  2. In the Definition tab, fill in the name, technical reference, and select the field type.
  3. Configure the remaining tabs as needed:
    • Visual — icon, width, color scheme, and section grouping.
    • Rules and Conditions — validations, initial value, data preservation, and conditionals.
    • Field Events — automatic actions triggered when the field value changes.
    • Help — placeholder, help text, instruction, and description.
  4. Click Save.

By default, every new field is created with no permissions granted. After saving, the system will prompt you to configure permissions (View, Create, Update, Delete) if you have authorization. Otherwise, ask a workspace administrator.
