Kanban
Kanban View
The Kanban view displays data in a board format — with columns representing stages and cards representing items. It's suited for visual flow tracking, movement between stages, and work-in-progress management.
Card configuration
In step 3 of the creation wizard, you define two elements:
Grouping field — the field that determines the board's columns. Each unique value of the selected field becomes a column. For example, if the chosen field is "Status" with the values "Pending", "In Progress", and "Completed", the board will have 3 columns.
Card fields — the fields that will be displayed on each board card. Choose the most relevant information for quick reading — such as title, assignee, deadline, or priority.
On-screen behavior
Once created, the Kanban view works as an interactive board:
- Card movement — drag a card from one column to another to change the grouping field value (for example, moving from "Pending" to "In Progress").
- Opening the item — click the card to view or edit the item's details.
- Applied filters — the filters defined in the configuration are already applied when accessing the view.
Moving a card directly changes the grouping field value on the item. If there are Spaceflows or rules linked to that field, they may be triggered by the change.
Practical example
A view called "Sales Pipeline" configured with:
- Grouping field: Stage (Prospecting, Qualification, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed).
- Card fields: Client Name, Estimated Value, Assignee.
- Automatic filter: My items (mandatory).
Result: when accessing the "Sales Pipeline" tab, each member sees only their own items organized into columns by stage, with essential information visible on the cards.
