Notifications
Notifications
The notification bell, at the top of the screen next to your avatar, gathers the alerts addressed to you. The alerts belong to your account, not to the workspace you have open: they follow you into any workspace.
Each notification has its own read state, which lets you separate what you have already seen from what still needs your attention.
What generates a notification
You receive a notification when:
- A Quick Task is created and assigned to you.
- The status of a Quick Task changes.
- Your name is mentioned in a comment.
Notifications are personal: you only receive the alerts related to you, not those of other workspace members.
How to use the bell
When you click the bell, the Notifications popover opens with the most recent alerts at the top. Each alert shows the title, a short description of the change and how long ago it happened.
The blue dot on the right marks an alert you have not read yet. Alerts you have already read appear without the dot.
From the list, you can:
- Open the alert, by clicking it, to reach the Quick Task that triggered it. If the origin is in another workspace, ENSPACE switches workspaces along with you. Once opened, the alert is recorded as read.
- Remove the alert from the list, by hovering over it and clicking the X.
Removing an alert removes only the alert. The task that generated it stays intact.
When the alert appears
The alert takes a few minutes to reach the bell after the event happens. If you have just performed an action and nothing showed up, wait before concluding that it does not generate a notification.
Once received, the alert is not lost: reloading the page, or closing and reopening the workspace, keeps unread notifications in the bell.
