Edit Member Group

Allows the agent to rename, change the status of, or replace the member list of an existing group.


When to enable this tool

Use this tool when the agent needs to modify the information or composition of an existing group.

Practical examples:

  • "Rename the 'Legal Team' group to 'Senior Legal Team'"
  • "Deactivate the 'Project Alpha' group — it's finished"
  • "Reset the Commercial Team members to only João and Maria"

If you want to add people to the group without removing existing ones, use the Add Members to Group tool instead.

What the agent can do

  • Rename the group or change its description and icon
  • Activate, deactivate, or block a group
  • Completely replace the group's member list

Important notes

  • When providing a new member list, it completely replaces the current members — if you omit someone from the list, that person will be removed from the group
  • To add people without removing existing ones, use the Add Members to Group tool
  • All provided members must be active workspace members
